The Edinburgh Festivals API is an ambitious project which aims to create open access to the event listings data of Edinburgh’s 12 major Festivals.

Edinburgh is the world’s favourite Festival city with over 43 000 performances taking place across the 12 Festivals year round- so there is a lot of data here! We’re excited to be able to open this up to let third-party developers interact with what is on offer.

However, there are some terms and conditions for using the Edinburgh Festivals API, so please make sure you’re up to speed with them before accessing the data.

What's available

The API allows access to listings data for Edinburgh Festivals which is publically available at the time, usually shortly after each festival's public launch. The twelve participating festivals are:
